Bilingual Human Resources Generalist (French/English)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid - 2 days at home)
Salary: $75,000-$80,000 + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join our client's growing team. You will play a key role supporting day-to-day HR operations, benefits management, employee relations, recruitment, and more, all while contributing to an environment of continuous improvement and employee satisfaction.
This is a hybrid role based in Mississauga - with the flexibility to work from home two days per week!
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for benefits administration and employee inquiries.
- Enroll new hires in benefits and pension plans and manage updates related to leaves, terminations, and status changes.
- Support the execution of HR initiatives, fostering an exceptional employee experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records, payroll inputs, and HR databases.
- Prepare reports for month-end, audits, and management requests.
- Conduct exit interviews and help shape employee retention strategies.
- Collaborate with external benefits carriers and employment agencies.
- Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes, including coordination with IT.
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience, ideally in a bilingual setting.
- Strong background in benefits management, HR administration, employee relations, and recruitment.
Skills & Attributes
- Fluently bilingual in French and English (written and verbal).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Results-driven and customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and HR operational processes.
- Able to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate reliability, and inspire trust.
Additional Information
- Travel Requirement: Up to 20% (this is rare)
- Probation Period: 6 months before benefits and sick/personal days eligibility.
