We are looking for a Permanent Full-time, Resource Specialist based out of our Scarborough location.
Key Job Functions
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, employers, and visitors, providing a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of VPI's Employment Ontario services, eligibility criteria, and community resources to effectively assist and direct clients.
- Support walk-in clients by assessing needs, answering inquiries, providing program information, and connecting them to appropriate services.
- Assist clients in the Resource Centre with job search activities, including resume updates, job applications, and online navigation.
- Collaborate closely with the Intake Coordinator to manage client flow, appointment scheduling, and referral processes.
- Facilitate smooth workshop operations by preparing materials, assisting with technology setup, and supporting participant engagement.
- Provide administrative support branch manager and branch staff.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming Resource Centre and reception area at all times.
- Input accurate client information and service interactions into case management systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Promote and explain available workshops, programs, and services to enhance client engagement and participation.
- Stay informed on community events, labour market trends, and available supports to enhance client service delivery.
- Actively contribute to branch goals and service targets through effective time management, teamwork, and service excellence.
- Support the achievement of branch objectives by collaborating across roles, adapting to service needs, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience.
- Continuously engage clients in accessing tools, workshops, and resources that strengthen their job search readiness and employability.
- Perform additional duties as required to support branch operations and client success.
