About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager / Estimator to lead and oversee a variety of civil construction projects. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in dynamic environments, tackles unique challenges daily, and takes full ownership of keeping projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of civil construction, solid estimating experience, and a commitment to high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle-from planning and scheduling to execution and close-out.
- Coordinate project teams and subcontractors to ensure workflow efficiency and adherence to project milestones.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily reports to document site progress, inspections, events, and delays.
- Serve as a key liaison with clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and project alignment.
- Lead internal and external project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Contribute to project estimation efforts, including the preparation of tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Support the preparation and tracking of change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
- Resolve site-level issues promptly and effectively to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in civil construction (earthworks, underground utilities, roadworks, etc.).
- Experience with civil estimating (tenders, RFPs, RFQs), with a focus on scopes such as watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer, and general civil works.
- Strong understanding of construction project methodology and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and Bluebeam.
