JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Senior Securities Settlements Administrator to join our growing Settlements team under CI Investments wealth management operations sector. The successful candidate will be responsible to support day to day settlement activities related to Mutual funds and GIC transactions that are placed on behalf of our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for resolving complex mutual fund and GIC transactions related to settlement.
- Respond to enquiries related to settlements such as discrepancies, delays, or failed transactions.
- Oversee GIC processes such as redemptions, commission, and maturities.
- Share knowledge, best practices, and conduct training to team members.
- Create, review, and maintain relation documentation for business continuity.
- Investigate and address issues related to exception processes of security transaction activities.
- Perform testing for technology or process enhancements.
- Liaise with external service providers to support end to end processes related to settlement.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- University/College degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of Mutual fund and GIC experience.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently to meet daily deadlines.
- Previous experience in a Settlements role or similar wealth management operations experience
- Experience working with Fundserv, Cannax and related depository systems.
- Detailed-oriented, extremely self-motivated and dedicated, and a good team player.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Ability to thrive in a growing/dynamic environment.
- Canadian Securities Course, IFIC, PFP and other industry courses would be an asset.
