We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to be the leading force that fuels our growing client relationships. The ideal person for this role will have proven experience building on existing relationships, eliminating competitive threats within our customer base, and ensuring customer satisfaction within your accounts. You'll be a proactive and curious member of our growing sales team, identifying growth opportunities for clients before they identify a need or gap for themselves. This level of foresight and meticulous analysis is what will take our company confidently into the future.

Responsibilities

Support and solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations

Develop and present effective sales pitches to illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities

Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings and client meetings, researching and assisting with supply contract development for existing clients and new prospects

Perform networking with existing clients to identify net new opportunities

Travel to client sites to conduct business reviews and provide technical assistance on a regular basis. Approx. 40-50% travel.

Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met

Maintain information in company supplied CRM regarding clients and prospects

Participate in and attend industry related events

Skills and Qualifications

5 years' experience in managing key accounts in a B2B setting

Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new opportunities

Comfortable being in an industrial setting and conduct technical sales pitches

Experience with long sales cycles

Ability to identify and understand explicit client needs, and negotiate contract terms

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with aptitude to learn systems

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects

Skills in presenting to operational and C-Level clientele

Sales-orientated mindset with experience in developing sales plans for key accounts

Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential

This position is for candidates residing in Calgary as office presence is required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Previous experience in agriculture or food sector is a plus

Proficiency in French is an asset
