Job description
Territory Sales Representative based in BC and covering Lower Mainland. You will be responsible for maintaining established accounts. As well, it is essential that you have the ability to prospect for new accounts. You will need to be active and engaged with your customers engineers in order to be directly involved in the development of new products. A technical background/education is an asset as you will work directly with engineers, as well as the ability and motivation to stay active and current with developing technologies for this industry. You will also be active with purchasing departments so you will be expected to effectively present to individuals or groups, negotiate pricing/contract terms, planning/scheduling of product delivery etc.
Utech Electronics is a Canadian Distributor of electrical components franchised with more than 70 manufacture's. We have sales people in all major tech sectors across Canada. Our clientele is quite diverse and involved in design and production of technology/products spanning agriculture, consumer electronics, automotive, military, oil/gas, telecommunications, aviation etc.
In order to be successful at this position the individual needs to be self motivated, have good time management skills, be able to multi task and work unsupervised with a drive to hit forecasted sales numbers on a monthly and yearly basis. The strength in the candidate for this position will be their ability to work with engineers on a daily basis, identifying their needs and then present the most appropriate product solution in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will oversee the company's operations in a particular region. They will ensure that operations run smoothly and that target goals and revenues are met. This candidate will build relationships with customers throughout a territory and generate new leads for business.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage sales accounts relationships BC territory
- Identify and pursue new customers
- Conduct cold-calls
- Communicate with established leads within territory and develop relationships
Qualifications
- Technical degree/Education or Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years' of experience in related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to hit sales budgets
Compensation
- 80k+ salary based on experience
