Can-Tech Services is looking for a Test Technician for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in Vaughan.

Position Type: Contract (Temporary for 6 months, possible to become permanent)

Hourly rate: $27 - $37 per hour.

FORMAL TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Trade certification- Mechanical/ Industrial, ODP certification.

FUNCTION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on with tools
• Welding
• Brazing
• Metal fabrication & assembly
• HVAC systems and electrical diagnostic ability
• Goal oriented, self starter, team player, attention to detail, independent and strategic thinker.
• Ability to work on multiple projects often within strict timelines.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Help with install/set-up HVAC systems and other component level testing.
• Install, repair, maintain equipment in testing facilities including update related logs.
• Braze, weld, fabricate, assemble metal pieces and structures.
• Assemble, repair, rework on HVAC units.
• Operate and maintain test equipment, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
• Install test unit/ system/ component and hook up instrumentation as required. Ensure all the details have been implemented and test set up is complied with the applicable standard and plan.
• Executes basic and standardized tests under supervision.
• Calibrate equipment/sensors and work with outside calibration laboratories to perform necessary calibration.
• Select, source, and collect appropriate parts, components and supplies required for the test facility.
• Practice and train others for safe work practice.
• Participate in lab 5S activities.
