The Opportunity:

A leadership role focused on managing and optimizing the Planning Department's operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is centered on ensuring production timelines are achieved, processes are continuously improved, and any risks to schedules are escalated in a timely manner.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the Planning Department to ensure accurate production schedules and workflow.
  • Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and address scheduling risks.
  • Manage labor resources, track productivity, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Maintain production deadlines by identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on forecasting, capacity planning, and project updates.
  • Track job progress, ensuring timely completion and closure of work orders.
  • Adjust schedules for design changes, material shortages, or production delays.
  • Analyze production and labor data to drive operational efficiency.
  • Accurately manage material and labor transactions in the ERP system.
  • Foster a safe, supportive work environment with open communication.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • Prior experience in planning or project coordination within a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and remain flexible under pressure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and quick decision-making abilities.
  • A strong sense of accountability and personal responsibility.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute work tasks with a focus on results.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both written and verbal - that promote team understanding and collaboration.
