We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Estimator with a strong background in industrial/commercial projects to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed and accurate electrical estimates.

- Perform quantity take-offs and apply appropriate labour units, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to develop design-build estimates and preliminary budgets.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.

- Solicit and review quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

- Prepare scopes of work, bid submissions, and tender clarifications.

- Assist with project hand-offs, including transferring estimates to operations teams.

- Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and unit pricing libraries.

- Stay current with industry trends, code changes, and new technologies affecting cost and design.

Qualifications

- Licensed Electrician (309Al) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

- Min 3 years of estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry, focusing on industrial and/or commercial projects.

- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and local codes and standards.

- Design-build project experience is a strong asset.

- Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.

- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.
