Job Description
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, developing and implementing compliance policies, conducting audits, and training staff on compliance procedures.
- Strong understanding of Canada's regulatory framework, including FINTRAC, OSC, CIRO and BoC (in particular RPAA)
- Review and maintenance compliance & AML to ensure they are up to date and meet regulatory requirements and current guidelines
- Day-to-day provision of assistance and advice, training and awareness to front office sales and trading departments and other business areas
- Advise on high-risk accounts and approve new products
- Take a lead role in all financial crime external audits where appropriate
- Ensure the firm's adherence to its financial crime and all AML regulations
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify discrepancies between current organizational practices and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Regulatory Compliance, AML, and Financial Crime
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or related field
