Job Summary

The Vice President of Business Development (VPBD) will be directly responsible for driving

exponential growth in sales and revenue across the company's portfolio. The VPBD will focus

on aggressively expanding our client base, identifying and pursuing high-value opportunities,

and ensuring the retention and satisfaction of existing clients. Reporting to the President, the

VPBD will be a key driver of the company's top-line growth, with a relentless focus on

increasing sales, securing new clients daily, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maximizing Sales & Revenue Growth

o Drive aggressive sales strategies to achieve rapid revenue growth, targeting new

business opportunities and securing high-value contracts within government,

property development, and commercial sectors.

o Establish and pursue monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, consistently

striving to exceed growth expectations.

o Lead the team in identifying and capitalizing on emerging markets and new

project opportunities, aiming for a significant increase in market share.

o Develop and implement innovative business development approaches to generate

daily new client leads and secure new contracts, ensuring the firm's ongoing

revenue acceleration.

o Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers across target industries, with a

direct focus on consistently adding new clients to the firm's portfolio.

o Regularly track and measure the sales pipeline, adjusting strategies to ensure

constant sales growth and market expansion.

2. Client Acquisition & Retention

o Focus on new client acquisition every day, with a clear strategy to bring in

clients from government, property developers, and commercial brands.

o Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing clients,

ensuring repeat business, continued project success, and high client satisfaction.

o Manage and expand the firm's client portfolio, developing deep relationships

that position the firm as the go-to solution for architecture and engineering needs.

o Proactively engage with clients to understand their future project needs, ensuring

that the company's offerings align with evolving client demands.

o Work closely with the project management and technical teams to ensure client

expectations are met, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

3. Sales Leadership & Team Performance

o Lead the business development team by setting clear sales goals and

performance metrics. Ensure the team is focused on consistently meeting and

exceeding targets.

o Provide hands-on leadership and support, coaching the team to generate new

business opportunities, improve sales techniques, and increase overall team

productivity.

o Encourage a results-driven, high-performance culture within the business

development department, ensuring that every team member is focused on client

acquisition and revenue generation.

o Directly participate in preparing and leading high-stakes sales presentations,

proposals, and contract negotiations, ensuring the firm secures new, profitable

business.

4. Maximizing Client Value & Satisfaction

o Ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction across all projects, leading efforts

to retain clients and secure repeat business.

o Develop strategies to continually engage with existing clients, ensuring they

remain loyal and continue to choose Company Name for future projects.

o Regularly engage with clients to ensure that projects are meeting their needs,

providing exceptional value and timely delivery that exceed expectations.

o Identify opportunities to expand relationships with existing clients, positioning

the firm to cross-sell and upsell additional services.

5. Pipeline & CRM Management

o Lead the charge in streamlining and optimizing the CRM process to ensure all

client data, leads, and communications are tracked and leveraged to drive growth.

o Ensure that the CRM system is utilized efficiently across the team, with accurate

and up-to-date records that provide a clear view of sales activities, client

communications, and project statuses.

o Focus on maintaining a robust and continually expanding sales pipeline, with a

high volume of leads and opportunities moving through the system on a daily

basis.

6. Strategic Market Positioning

o Lead efforts to position the firm as a leader in the architecture and engineering

space through innovative, high-value proposals that appeal to key market

segments.

o Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including entering untapped markets

and targeting new verticals to accelerate growth.

o Stay ahead of industry trends and client needs to constantly align the firm's

offerings with market demands, ensuring that the company remains competitive

and continues to win high-value contracts.

7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

o Regularly monitor the effectiveness of business development initiatives, making

real-time adjustments to strategies to ensure optimal results.

o Report to the President with key performance metrics, tracking revenue growth,

new client acquisition, client retention, and sales team performance.

o Use data-driven insights to refine business development strategies, focusing on

maximizing both short-term wins and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering,

or a related field. An MBA or advanced certifications in business development or sales is

a plus.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a proven

track record of successfully driving sales and revenue growth within the architecture

and engineering sectors.

• Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of architecture, engineering, and construction

industries, with specific experience working with government agencies, property

developers, and commercial brands.

• Skills:

o Strong sales acumen, with a relentless focus on acquiring new clients daily and

driving revenue growth.

o Expertise in client retention strategies that ensure long-term, profitable

relationships.

o Experience in managing and optimizing CRM systems for lead tracking, sales

management, and pipeline development.
