Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to lead YouTube marketing and advertising strategies, oversee client relationships, and drive seamless project execution. This role is responsible for account strategy, project management, and team mentorship, ensuring high-quality service and campaign success. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital marketing and advertising, with proven experience in leading higher-budget clients ($200,000 - $800,000+ per year per client), managing budgets, and delivering results-driven marketing.
You will report directly to the Account Director and collaborate closely with a team of creative execution team, strategists, and ad managers. As a Senior AM, you will help shape best practices and drive a culture of innovation and excellence in client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring high retention and satisfaction.
- Maintain effective and professional communication, acting as the main point of contact.
- Set clear client expectations and boundaries, ensuring smooth collaboration.
- Lead client meetings and presentations, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Ensure quality assurance (QA) on all client deliverables, maintaining high standards.
- Negotiate contract renewals and upsells, demonstrating the ability to retain and grow accounts.
- Provide strategic direction, ensuring long-term growth and satisfaction.
- Act as the go-to resource for internal teams regarding client-related questions.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, helping refine processes and client strategies.
Project Management
- Set clear project goals, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely execution.
- Assign tasks to internal teams (creative, strategy, and ads) and oversee progress.
- Create detailed project briefs to align teams and clarify project requirements.
- Communicate project needs and expectations directly to clients.
- Keep internal teams apprised of client-side changes, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Oversee quality assurance (QA) for all project deliverables.
- Independently drive strategic account decisions, identify risks before they arise, and proactively implement solutions that improve client retention and performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of senior account management experience in a digital agency or related industry.
- Proven ability to manage high-value accounts with a focus on retention and upselling.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to set and drive account goals.
- Experience in mentorship and team development , fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities , demonstrating innovation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and project oversight capabilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure , maintaining resilience and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- A self-starter mindset , proactively identifying areas for business growth and process improvements.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary : $70,000 - $80,000 CAD
- Bonus : Up to $20,000 Retention Bonus
- Benefits : Health & dental coverage after 3 months
