Job Title: Area Manager

Location: Fort St. John, BC

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + 30% Performance Bonus

Vacation: 3-4 Weeks

About the Opportunity:

We're working with a leading electrical industrial services company that is looking to hire a local Area Manager for their Fort St. John, BC operations. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone with a Journeyman Electrical or Instrumentation background and strong experience managing teams in the industrial or oil & gas sector.

You'll oversee branch operations, drive business development, and ensure safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction. If you're part of the Fort St. John or Dawson Creek community and looking for a long-term leadership opportunity, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead a team of 10 tradespeople, 1 electrical manager, and 1 administrator
• Drive safety culture (BBOs, TRIF, LTI) and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Manage financial performance and achieve EBITDA targets
• Oversee hiring, performance, and structure of the team with full autonomy
• Engage directly with industrial clients (oil & gas and forestry)
• Lead business development efforts and expand market share in the region
• Collaborate with regional operations and support teams (HR, Finance, Purchasing)

Key Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician (mandatory)
• 5+ years in a senior supervisory or management role
• Estimating experience in residential and commercial projects
• Strong leadership and operations experience
• Knowledge of business processes and team management
• Experience using Microsoft Office, ERP systems, Salesforce, and safety software
• Preference given to local candidates or those open to relocating to Fort St. John (relocation support available: moving expenses + 4 months rental/lease)
