Profile: Our client sells software to corporate clients and is looking for a Montreal-based Account Executive to sell into both new accounts and existing accounts. You are able to sell value and engage internal resources to advance the sales cycle. Please submit your resume in English.

Territory: Province of Quebec and some Maritimes

Workplace: Home office (Montreal-based)

Products/Services: Software

Salary: Base $90,000

Commissions/Bonus: $65,000 at 100% of objectives

Car allowance: $0.60/km

Functions:

  • Drive new business by proactively reaching out to corporate and accounting firms and managing opportunities from prospecting to close.
  • Introduce and sell leading-edge solutions including research and compliance platforms tailored for tax professionals.
  • Grow and protect revenue by delivering outstanding service and identifying new opportunities within your territory.
  • Develop strategic account plans and collaborate with colleagues across sales, marketing, and support teams.
  • Engage with clients at all levels to understand their needs and offer relevant, high-value solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events like trade shows and conferences to build connections and promote offerings.
  • Use CRM tools (like Salesforce) to track activities, forecast sales, and plan territory growth.

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Road vs Office: 40% vs 60%

Languages: French and English (written and spoken)

Education: A post secondary education or equivalent business experience

Training: On the job + online training

Overnight Travel: 10 days per year of travel

Years of experience: 3 to 5 years relevant sales experience

Other requirements: Must have a stable sales career

Transferable contacts: Experience selling to accounting firms/departments is an asset

Transferable Knowledge: Knows how to sell value
