Responsibilities
- Develop insightful fact-based business updates
- Define the vision and establish a clear portfolio approach (including SKU rationalization) across different brands
- Manage innovation in collaboration with cross-functional teams (PMO, R&D, Legal, Regulatory )
- Lead the label designing and packaging process
- Create marketing toolkits to support the aftermarket sales team (brochures, sales sheets, website, selector tools )
- Lead and attend trade shows for heavy-duty equipment in both the US and Canada
- Work effectively with advertising, promotional, research agencies, consultants, vendors, etc.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- University degree in Marketing/Business Management
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in brand building, product management, and marketing in the CPG industry
- Experience with retailers (Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, etc.)
- Experience in B2B, aftermarket industries, and industrial sectors would be a plus
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in French is a must.
- Ability to create presentations and present to small groups as well as large audiences
- Good writing skills for creating business plans, proposals, internal reports
Technical Skills:
- Ability to analyze market research and business reports, interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations
- Good knowledge of budgeting, pricing strategy, and margin management
- Excellent technical aptitude with understanding of product specifications and usage, experience in new product development and launches
- Experience in briefing agencies (research, packaging, and advertising), evaluating their work, and providing feedback
- Strong proficiency in digital, social media, and e-commerce platforms to reach consumers
Computer Skills:
- Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong ability to quickly learn tools to effectively run analysis (e.g., PowerBi, Krunchbox )
