LeverageTek is actively seeking a SharePoint Migration / Application Administrator for a 1 year contract opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Ottawa - Hybrid (1 day per week onsite)

Security Requirement

Must have a Government of Canada Secret Clearance.

Key Tasks

SharePoint On-premises

  • Administration
  • site/list creation/configuration
  • permissions
  • OOTB workflow troubleshooting (out of the box)
  • server monitoring
  • 3rd party tools (HarePoint)
  • monthly Windows Patch testing and verification
  • (Nintex) Workflow updates
  • Project Server administration
  • Records Management Project

SharePoint Online

  • GRM configuration
  • site/list creation/configuration
  • Content migration (Connexions, Destination, InfoNet, Project Server)

System (Application) Administration Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage applications such as desktop tools, web applications, cloud applications
  • Configure, maintain and monitor application systems and their configurations on servers and in our cloud tenant
  • Perform regular monitoring to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues including communication failures.
  • Pick up support tickets and work with the business to troubleshoot and resolve application errors or issues.
  • Assist in the enrolment of new users of systems, as required.
  • Define and manage access rights; provide application access privileges for users.
  • Apply service packs/hot fixes.
  • Ensure cross-training of personal knowledge on application maintenance and support skills.
  • Coordinate and deliver new application components and updates for existing and new in-house COTS applications.
  • Identify system inefficiencies and reuse of existing resources where possible; provide recommendations for innovations and automations where possible to increase efficiency.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong support and configuration skills in application management for SharePoint on premise and SharePoint Online
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing and supporting the SharePoint Transition activities and managing other in-house systems
  • Experience testing and validating new systems in a test environment and conducting implementation of new systems or upgrades to a production environment

Qualifications

  • Configuration, deployment, maintenance, and support of:
  • Knowledge of SharePoint on premise and SharePoint Online,
  • Knowledge of Project Server
  • Knowledge of web administration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot; think creatively and problem-solve.
  • Experience in an advisory capacity, providing recommendations to management and/or clients
  • Experience supporting high availability applications
  • Experience testing and validating new systems in a test environment and conducting implementation of new systems or upgrades to a production environment.
  • Knowledge of data management techniques including data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of release techniques and procedures including version control.
