Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our client's dynamic team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring the financial success of each project. This position requires a strong understanding of residential construction, particularly in high-volume single-family homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for single-family home projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze Project Specifications: Review architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to identify cost factors and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project estimates, cost variances, and budget performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Estimator in residential construction, preferably with a focus on single-family homes.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
