Availability: Immediate

Position function: Reporting to the Director of IT, Business Technology Specialist will serve as the bridge between business users and technology by working with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to improve business performance through technology.

Scope: The resource will be responsible for introducing innovative digital tools, and creating custom apps using low-code platforms including Microsoft Power Platform. The role will involve assessing the technology needs of various business units, defining requirements, recommending and implementing suitable technology solutions, and providing ongoing support and optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Major tasks and duties:

  • Technology Assessment: Work with business units to identify technology needs and assess existing systems. Understand business processes and challenges to recommend appropriate technology solutions.
  • Solution Implementation: Assist with the deployment and configuration of new technology solutions and systems. Develop work with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and integration.
  • User Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for end-users on new technologies, software applications, and best practices. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure optimal use of technology resources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of implemented technology systems and gather feedback from users. Identify areas for improvement and work on enhancing systems over time.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all technology systems, including user manuals, configuration guides, and process documentation.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all technology solutions comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations. Work with IT teams to implement necessary security measures and conduct regular audits.
  • Project Support: Assist with technology-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations. Collaborate with project teams to ensure project goals are met.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze system data to measure the effectiveness of technology solutions. Generate reports and provide insights to business leaders to support decision-making.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to support requests, maintaining clear communication with users, and ensuring a positive experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong technical expertise in software and hardware systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Post-Secondary Degree in computer science, business analysis or related field
  • Ability to work in a global landscape
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and full command of the English Language (Written/Spoken)
