Develop new products by generating innovative ideas and concepts for new products or products enhancements as outlined in Technical Enquiry Forms for innovation projects and Cloud for Customer (C4C).

Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate product designs and functionalities.

Conduct cost analyses to determine the viability and profitability of new products.

Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source raw materials that meet quality standards and cost targets.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements throughout the product development process.

Communicate and coordinate with Related Department to achieve targeted goals.

Monitor product development timelines; maintain up to date the status of each project, budgets, and quality standards.

Maintain SOP's, formulations and supporting records and documentation organized.

Create label and specifications following applicable Canadian and/or US regulations.

Research, evaluate and test new ingredients and current ingredients alternatives.

Maintain laboratory, equipment, and materials clean and organized.

Provide support and backup for other R&D tasks as necessary.

Assist with BSA-WIBERG and Nova taste global integration projects.

Participate and assist with Marketing and Sales activities, such as Supplier's trade shows, and visit to customers.

Other role related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Post-Secondary Education in Food Science, Biology, Nutrition, or related field

1 - 5 years of experience in product development or similar role in the food industry

Experience in meat and snack sectors is an asset.

Knowledge of Canadian and US Food Regulations is an asset.

Comfortable using IT platforms like CRM or SAP. Proficient in the use of MS Office.
