Job Overview
The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the development, strategy, and lifecycle management of our linear lighting product lines. This role requires strong market analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership to ensure our products align with customer needs and company objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in product development, program management, and market research within the lighting or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and execute a product roadmap aligned with Beta Calco's business goals and market trends.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify industry trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop innovative, cost-effective lighting products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Track product quality issues and market trends, using data insights to drive continuous improvements and enhance product offerings.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, including launch planning, product positioning, and sunsetting outdated models.
Program & Project Management:
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product development and market entry.
- Define and track KPIs for product performance, ensuring data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain clear project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of product initiatives.
- Support manufacturing and operations teams in ensuring a seamless transition from product development to production.
Customer & Market Engagement:
- Engage with key customers, sales teams, and industry partners to gather feedback and improve product offerings.
- Develop and deliver product training and support for internal teams, sales representatives, and end-users.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to stay informed on market trends and strengthen customer relationships.
Financial & Pricing Strategy:
- Work closely with finance and sales teams to establish pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness.
- Conduct cost analysis to ensure financial feasibility and sustainability of product offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in product management, program management, or a similar role, preferably in the lighting or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of linear lighting technologies, industry standards, and market dynamics.
- Experience managing product development processes, from concept to commercialization.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, project management tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer visits and industry events.
