Job Title: Manufacturing Project Engineering Specialist

Key Characteristics
- Lead the mechanical design effort for new configurable membrane-based equipment
- Projects. This design work includes supporting the design for order execution.
- Support the engineering effort on several projects for new and
- existing membrane-based equipment products working closely with production,
- project managers, and members of the project engineering
- teams as required.
- Be the point of contact for engineering efforts related to mechanical,
- instrumentation, and some design drawing work such as P&ID's, General Arrangements and plant layouts.
- Contribute to troubleshooting customer and manufacturing problems related to all
- membrane equipment projects.
- Support Global Products Platform engineering team objectives and process
- development.
Duties & Responsibilities (List 5-7 essential functions for the role, focusing on broader responsibilities)
- Maintaining Scope, Schedule and Budget on projects - on time delivery and within budget
- Delivering Customer interfacing documents- drawings, cutsheets, equipment lists
- Production interface- factory reviews, delivering fabrication drawings to procurement and factories. Provide solutions to fabrication issues.
- Maintaining Bills of Materials, Process Instrumentation Diagrams -PIDs and General Arrangement/layout drawings.
- Safety and Quality reviews on Equipment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (List out required and preferred skills as applicable)
- Experience in ACAD and Solid Works design software.
- Experience with engineering standards for documentation, engineering review processes, and common regional regulatory requirements such as CE, UL, CSA, ASME, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with the configurable membrane equipment product portfolio at VWTS, Industrial product design experience in water treatment and/or food processing, involving membrane separation processes (RO, UF, electrodialysis).
- Experience with business management software, e.g. SAP and Eng. Change, processes.
- Programming and computer model development experience (excel, google sheets,
- etc.).
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent 4 degree in mechanical engineering or science related field
