Job Title: Senior Facility Manager

Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 per annum

Overview:
On behalf of our client, a leading global real estate services firm, we are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of five high-rise commercial office spaces in downtown Vancouver. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a client-focused approach in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
The ideal candidate will hold either a 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate or a Red Seal Certification in a relevant trade and have proven experience managing complex building systems and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full scope of facilities operations across five Class A commercial high-rise properties.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 8 direct reports, including building operators and technical personnel.
- Serve as the primary liaison with a high-demand corporate client; ensure responsive, solution-oriented service.
- Direct the maintenance and operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, life safety, etc.).
- Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and performance to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure all work is compliant with local regulations, safety codes, and environmental standards.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital planning.
- Track and report on KPIs, operational metrics, and maintenance logs.
- Drive initiatives for energy efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leasing, project management, and engineering teams to support tenant satisfaction and property performance.
Qualifications:
- 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate or Red Seal Certification in a mechanical, electrical, or equivalent trade (required).
- 7+ years of experience in commercial facilities or property management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building operations and systems.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills; adept at working under pressure.
- Experience working in a demanding, client-facing environment.
- Proficiency in CMMS, BAS, and other building technologies.
- Sound knowledge of occupational health & safety practices and building code compliance.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
