Our client, a leader in Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Simulation Engineer in their Windsor, Ontario, Tool and Die facility. The Simulation Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining CAD Data. The ideal candidate will have prior Simulation experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain all CAD Data relative to a program as specified by the project engineer and/or customer
- Creates and maintains simulation and die processes, both 2D and 3D, based on internal and external customer requirements
- Develops basic to advanced level process proposals based on direction from product design engineering and/or engineering analysis
- Recommends alternative design scenarios to meet or exceed customer requirements
- Create and modify 3D surfaces
- Interfaces with Project Engineering, Manufacturing Division and Customer to meet requirements for assigned project
- Interfaces with manufacturing Division to ensure that all formability requirements are met
- All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by Supervisor
Minimum Qualifcations:
- At least 5 years working experience in a Simulation Engineer role.
- At least 5 years in automotive and or tooling environment
- Must be affluent in NX 3d Surfacing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
