Profile Summary:

Reporting to the Director-Manufacturing, the Production Manager engages directly and via plant shift managers to drive plant performance in all manufacturing areas including production, quality, food safety and health & safety by managing the daily operations of the plant in a cost-effective way and produce quality, on-time products.

I deal candidate for this role, will be someone with 4-5 yrs of production management.

However you will NOT be complacent in this role, yet you will posses the drive to grow into the Director Operations

This plant runs 3 shifts 5 days a week, Non Union, You will have 4-5 direct reports

Leadership is key

Specific Accountabilities:

• Understand, apply and actively participate in maintaining health and safety program practices at all times

• Demonstrate leadership by communicating effectively, providing clear expectations to all plant employees to ensure assigned responsibilities are carried out, to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime

• Create production schedules and ensure that production processes stay within budget and timelines

• Provide guidance to production staff and ensure proper scheduling of staff

• Evaluate, recommend and implement production improvements and bring to attention any problems or issues impacting production

• Monitor production to resolve issues and improve efficiency

• Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities for year over year operations cost reductions, job efficiency and safety improvements

• Coordinate plant resources and provide feedback for cross functional projects.

• Work closely with Maintenance to maximize the value and efficiency of ongoing operations

• Work with Human Resources to ensure good employee relations are maintained at all times

• Balance the floor with available operator skills, monitor throughput and efficiencies using production metrics and making necessary adjustment to correct deviations

• Analyze complex issues, develop and implement clear action plans to resolve issues

• Understand, apply and actively participate in maintaining product quality and food safety program practices including BRC, HACCP, QA / QC, GMP, Sanitation and good hygiene practices.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial management, logistics, or a related field.

• 5 years' experience supervising multiple shifts

• Proven understanding of and experience in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members.

• Ability to influence and collaborate with other departments

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
