You are an experienced Talent partner within small/mid sized or boutique environments and are used to the fast paced, ever changing environment of talent management. Whether you are spending your day hiring for several ongoing priority roles and organizing the candidate experience or navigating employee partnership and support, your passion for the people function of a business is clear. No problem is too small for you to manage with proactive solutions or relay to the appropriate leadership with skill and confidence.
At A+D, the people function is extremely important as you will lead and manage with coordination from a small Operations team across all stages of an employee's life cycle. From hiring, to career management and succession planning you will partner with all levels of talent to provide custom solutions and regularly demonstrate the A+D's commitment to our teams. Organized. Approachable. Committed. You will play an essential part of keeping all A+D staff feeling valued and supported.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the entire recruitment process from end to end for junior to senior employees:
- Partnering with department hiring leads on open role requisitions including developing must have candidate criteria, screening questions and format for interview process.
- Actively post & source talent including proactive reach out strategies for strong candidate pipelines.
- Lead a positive candidate application process - regularly check pipelines, communicate with & screen candidates, organize interviews and coordinate all candidate next steps.
- Lead introductory interviews and evaluation of candidates against ideal candidate profile sharing summaries to the hiring team.
- Managing the candidate pipeline and rack of top candidates for future needs in candidate databases.
- Lead structured leveling debriefs within hiring group to narrow hiring pool with efficiency.
- Offer & negotiation management for all new hires with approvals from CFO.
- Track & maintain reporting including hiring metrics, timelines and department stats for changes as needed.
- Regularly make adjustments to interview and candidate experience for efficiency in hiring with strong vetting procedures as top priority.
- Source and manage all freelance/contract employee contracts & details.
- Perform and log all reference checks.
Complete employee lifecycle management, onboarding, performance, critical staffing concerns, and off-boarding with escalation to management:
- Lead employee onboarding experience including preparing first day/first week schedules and plans.
- Manage and store all HR & Employee forms in advance of hiring.
- Lead all 30,60,90 day checkins relaying any essential information to manager and seeking urgent feedback if needed.
- Train and maintain Lattice performance management system integration for all employees.
- Draft and maintain all external and internal A+D Job descriptions including A+D internal formats for 1:1s and performance, regularly auditing roles for current needs.
- Work with leadership and management to support all elements of people's process, changes and challenges escalating as needed to management.
- Lead A+D engagement through DE&I leadership, JHSC leadership, mentorship programming leadership & regular program maintenance.
Support all employee benefit & payroll programs including group insurance, total rewards and payroll coordination:
- Support employees related to group insurance registration/set up and troubleshooting.
- Payroll coordination with the Controller including managing the people side of processing.
- Support year end payroll documentation and distribution.
- Policy & compliance updates and checks regularly as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years experience in Talent function, preference for marketing / agency experience.
- Strong knowledge of best practices across hiring and talent management.
- Experience leading hiring life cycle end to end across multiple ongoing roles and projects.
- Ability to maintain and lead multiple tasks identifying priorities and solutions in a small team.
- Familiarity with working as part of a small People team coordinating across a wide variety of functions.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working across levels of an organization.
- Ability to identify and proactively provide solutions to possible challenges, concerns or delays related to employee experience.
- Experience working with finance,payroll & benefits departments with an ability to maintain confidential information.
- Passionate about people functions and supporting a small team.
