Who we are?
The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).
What is the project?
The Ontario Line ("OL") is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel ("NC") project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract ("EGS") and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract ("PTUS"), with supporting Early Works.
What is the Opportunity?
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and bring 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry, with basic knowledge of project controls principles.
This is a supportive role that works closely with the Project Controls Lead to assist in day-to-day coordination, documentation, and administrative tasks across the broader project controls functions (planning, cost, risk, and reporting).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily administrative and coordination support to the Project Controls Lead.
- Assist in collecting, compiling, and formatting project data and documentation for planning, cost, and reporting exercises.
- Help maintain and update registers, trackers, logs, and document filing systems.
- Support the preparation and distribution of regular project reports and presentations.
- Coordinate internal team meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
- Liaise with internal departments (engineering, construction, procurement, contracts) to assist in the flow of information.
- Ensure version control and proper organization of project documentation.
- Monitor incoming information, help keep shared tools and folders up to date, and flag items requiring attention.
- Assist with basic document reviews and quality checks for consistency and completeness.
What You'll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (required).
- 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in a project support or project controls-related role.
- Basic knowledge of project controls concepts such as planning, cost tracking, change management, risk and project reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of SharePoint, Smartsheet or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support multiple team members.
