We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time position for a Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator for our Compliance Department at our Leamington, ON location.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining policies and standard operating procedures, executing employee training and organizing audits to ensure that all Nature Fresh locations and relevant co-pack vendors are meeting necessary social responsibility requirement as set by industry.

Job Specific Duties

• Leads by example following the culture development of the Social Responsibility Fundamentals, the Corporate Social Responsibility Framework & Policies and the Canadian Supply Chain - Forced Labour Report for all the Nature Fresh locations.
• Create and share a broad level understanding of social issues that may become relevant to Nature Fresh operations and the fresh produce industry as a whole.
• Participate in continuous learning opportunities that support ethical supply chains.
• Collaborate with NGO's, industry and government bodies to drive broader social responsibility progress within the organization.
• Perform regular reviews with functional staff to evaluate requirements, proactively identifying compliance deficiencies to ensure they are resolved appropriately.
• Works closely with management to make operational adjustments and corrections if needed to ensure all locations are following the Nature Fresh set standards.
• Broader business management functions such as record keeping, project management and financial accounting to support social responsibility certifications.
• Provide support to vendors who co-pack for Nature Fresh assisting on preparing, implementing and auditing social responsibility audits as required by retailers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Corporate Social Responsibility experience or sustainability experience/
• Completion of college diploma is required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
• Very high degree of confidentiality and integrity required regarding all aspects of the business.
• Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
• Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S. or internationally as required.
• Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
• Comfortable with computers and are familiar with using various software programs and Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Forward thinker with strong initiative, able to work independently with little direction.
• Team player with a high level of dedication.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines with excellent time management skills and ensure timely follow-up in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
• Comfortable with creating and facilitating presentations

Working Conditions:

• A mixture between Greenhouse, Warehouse, and office settings.
• Full-time hours Monday to Friday with Saturdays and holidays (as needed).
