The Role
We are seeking a driven Learning & Development Advisor to join our dynamic team at IPH Canada. The selected candidate can be based in Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa and will work in one of our member firms (ROBIC in Montreal, Smart & Biggar in Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa).
The Learning and Development (L&D) Advisor will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programs across the Canadian region. This role is integral to developing employee capabilities, supporting business objectives, and enhancing employee performance and engagement. The L&D Advisor will collaborate with HR colleagues and senior leaders to deliver tailored bilingual learning solutions that align with the organization's goals.
We are looking for an excellent facilitator who has a passion for delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to identify development needs across the Canadian region.
- Design, develop, and deliver customized training programs and team workshops to enhance individual and team capabilities.
- Facilitate training sessions in both English and French, using both in-person and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
- Utilize assessment tools like DISC to enhance team effectiveness and organizational performance.
- Collaborate with HR teams on strategic projects aimed at business growth and fostering an employer of choice culture.
- Support the delivery of training by local partners across Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and act as a trusted advisor on L&D matters.
- Adapt communication and facilitation styles to engage diverse professional audiences.
- Travel across Canada to deliver in-person sessions as required.
- Manage multiple training projects and ensure timely delivery of learning initiatives.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Education & Experience Required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or similar roles.
- Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, virtual training platforms, ability to keep up to date with new technology.
- DISC certification is strongly preferred; additional L&D or OD certifications are considered a strong asset (not required)

- High attention to detail, with the ability to adapt and adjust approaches to meet varying needs.
