Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and certified 3rd Class Power Engineer to join our client's operations team as a Process Operator in Fort McMurray, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing plant processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a dynamic industrial environment.

We are looking for 3rd class power engineer certified process operator.

Must be local to Fort McMurray. This is not camp based FIFO role.

• Location: Fort McMurray, AB
• Shift: 6 on 6 off, 12 hours a day
• Job type: Temp Contract Full-time hours

Responsibilities:

• Learn and adhere to the refinery's management systems
• Work on a crew covering a qualified post within an operating unit
• Operate the refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established refinery practices, procedures and operating guidelines
• Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting to maintain process equipment
• Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations
• Monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality.

Qualifications:

• Must be local to Fort McMurray. This is not camp based FIFO role.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience working in refinery
• Must Passed the 3rd Class Operating Engineer Exams
• Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Mechanical aptitude to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision making skills
• Ability to work and communicate in a team environment, with strong verbal, written and communication skills.
