POSITION OVERVIEW:

To achieve the strategic objectives set for our client's Canadian entity and successfully launch operations in the region, our client is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Technical Director supporting the Chief Regional Officer (CRO) North America in the implementation of the local strategy.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to be integrated effectively into the local engineering community, while fully embracing and promoting the Company's core values of passion, flexibility, and commitment. Recognizing that our people are our most valuable asset, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of inspiring and guiding a diverse team with varying cultural and technical backgrounds.

The role calls for an entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a clear understanding of operating within a Group.

Finally, strong technical expertise is a required prerequisite in order to meet the Company's leadership culture.

Based on the results achieved and the skills demonstrated by the candidate, the Technical Director role has the potential to evolve into a Country Local Representative.

The main responsibilities of the Technical Director include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project delivery

Ensure the delivery of design and consulting services, including construction design for

Contractors

o Ensure collaboration with USA team and, if necessary, coordinate the support from

overseas.

Support Business development activities

o Support the CRO in the business development activities in Canada - from the early

identification of opportunities to the preparation and submission of tenders - in close

collaboration with the local team and with the support of the wider Group network.

o Strengthening of the partnership with other design Companies.

o Attendance to industry forums, professional institutions and Government Agencies.

Support Finance activities

o Support in the elaboration of the monthly project controlling.

o Follow-up of the project cash flow (cash-in, receivables, cost control).

o Ensure project staff are fully aware of project budgets and adhere to routine reporting of

progress against targets and advise of any rectification measures at the earliest time

possible.

Support HR activities

o Support in the definition of resources need.

o Identification of resources on the local market and support in the attraction of new

talents.

Support in Quality activities

o Support in the implementation of quality process allowing to obtain the required quality

certificates in Canada.

o Application of governance rules at local level.

o Support in the definition of risks and mitigation measures associated with entering

business partnerships and contract commitments for delivery of professional service.

o Implementation of robust project controlling procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Engineering license in Canada required (P.Eng Ontario required; eligibility for registration in

Quebec/Montreal considered an asset).

BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical and/or Structural disciplines.

Minimum 10 years related experience in technical roles on infrastructure/heavy civil

engineering. Underground Construction works experience preferred.

Good understanding of FEM modeling and structural verifications of temporary support of

excavation, reinforced concrete, and steelwork.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with strong analytical capabilities

and demonstrated leadership experience.

Canadian citizenship.
