Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design support for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring compliance with contract design requirements
• Create comprehensive engineering documents including calculation packages, interface control diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control lists
• Conduct trade studies and analyses to identify optimal technical solutions and cost-saving opportunities
• Develop material specifications and bills of materials in alignment with project and customer needs
• Support all phases of the engineering lifecycle-from requirements gathering to project close-out
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing technical team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Instrumentation and Controls
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in electrical, controls, and instrumentation engineering
• Experience in heavy industry is essential; shipbuilding or shipyard experience is a strong asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with MRP and procurement systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate: $40-47/hour
