Our team consists of industry professionals with vast construction knowledge. Our full time office staff are all graduates of Architecture - Construction Engineering Technology programs. We are seeking a skilled Senior Construction Project Manager, _with a specialty in contract management_, to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the project.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, consultants, trades and the public.
Ensure health and safety program is being followed.
Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
Ensure that all permits, insurance, and bonding are in place.
Assist in the tendering process.
Convene pre-construction meeting.
Manage the budget process.
Participate in the design process when required.
Manage the value engineering process when required.
Prepare, maintain and update the baseline schedule.
Issue letters of delay.
Manage the Change Order process.
Manage cash allowances.
Prepare monthly billings.
Reconcile accounts.
Process shop drawings.
Conduct regular site reviews and visits.
Prepare Project Cost Reports
Manage project cash-flow.
Track delays and apply for Extensions of Time and additional costs.
Manage all day-to-day correspondence.
Receive all money at the end of project.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree (Construction/Architectural) or technical college diploma in Construction Management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
10+ years of experience in the ICI construction industry.
5+ years experience working for a General Contractor.
8+ years of general contractor experience.
Advanced knowledge of construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
Experience promoting a strong safety culture.
Gold Seal Certified an asset.
LEED Accredited an asset.
