We are currently looking for a MAESTRO PIZZAIOLO to join our dynamic team at TRATTORIA BURNABY RESTAURANT.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Prepare fresh pizza dough
Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate safe food handling
Assist in menu development focusing on the classics but also considering innovative creative ideas that are ahead of the trend
Assist in cost control, monitoring and ordering of supplies
Train apprentices to uphold preparation and quality standards at each location
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Min 5 years experience in pizza making, preferably in a high volume venue
FOOD SAFE certification
Traditional Italian culinary experience and a passion for the craft of pizza making
Experience with hand tossed fresh pizza dough and showman skills to wow our guests
Aptitude to train and mentor a team to ensure product quality and consistency
Ability to deal with high pressure environments
