Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized Nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience recognized by the BCCNM.
Holds an active registration with the BCCNM as an RN.
Maintain Occupational First Aide Level 1 status.
Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written.
Nice to Haves:
Gerontological experience preferred.
MDS education (Gold Care or Point Click Care).
Summary of Responsibilities, but not limited to, include:
Observing, documenting, and updating resident health and care information.
Providing personal care assistance to residents when necessary.
Collaborating with the Care Manager to complete assessments and care plans.
Ensuring all staff follow Fall Safety programs.
Contributing to the development and adjustment of care plans in interdisciplinary meetings.
Assessing resident health, distinguishing normal from abnormal findings, recognizing mental health changes, and identifying strengths and limitations.
Taking necessary actions such as consulting with physicians or referring to the Mental Health Team.
