The team at Dr. A M Kahane Dental in Fernie, BC is looking for a passionate, hard-working Associate Locum Dentist on a full-time/temporary basis.
The Associate Dentist will provide a full range of dental services with the highest quality of care to ensure our patients have a positive, rewarding experience and leave with a smile. The Ideal Associate for our team and practice is skilled in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable, can clearly communicate with both patients and coworkers, and work independently as needed.
Locum required for July 22 through August 30. We run a small, but busy practice with 2 chairs for dental and 2 hygiene ops. The ideal Associate Dentist will be capable of working 2 chairs with 2 CDA's. We use CBCT, Trios, iTero technology. We are located in the beautiful mountainous region of Southeast BC. Fernie is known as an outdoor enthusiast's dream with hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and so much more.

COMPENSATION:
Locums are compensated on a fee-for-service basis with remuneration of 40% of revenue
SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week (week of July 22 is 32 hrs)
Monday through Friday (week of July 22 is Monday through Thursday)
July 22 through August 30, 2024
Monday, Wednesday Friday 9am- 5pm; Tuesday & Thursday 10am - 6pm
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program from an accredited school or university program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process.
Registered or in processing of registering with the:
British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals
Eligible to practice dentistry in the province of BC
We are open to those currently registered with other Canadian province(s)
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients' families in English
