Surplus Furniture and Mattress Warehouse is looking for a Retail Recruiter to join our growing team in Barrie Ontario.

Now, with 33 retail locations across Canada and more on the way, Surplus Furniture and Mattress Warehouse is looking to add a motivated and forward-thinking Recruiter to its growing team in Barrie Ontario.

The successful candidate will develop, facilitate, execute, and support recruiting strategies and staffing objectives, to deliver career candidates for assigned positions company wide.

_ Required Skills _

Ability to source and find a high level of talent for positions across the country.

Ability to utilize/incorporate multiple social channels/tools, job boards and professional network to access the best talent possible while embracing traditional headhunting strategies and think outside the box!

Knowledge of up-to-date recruitment trends and best practices.

Conduct thorough screening and interviewing processes to assess candidate qualifications and fit for role.

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

Manage the entire recruitment process, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve the hiring process
Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities to management.

A solid foundation and understanding of what it takes to be successful in a Sales role with sales targets.

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent time management skills and possess a strong work ethic

Respectful of confidentiality and privacy; exercise tact and discretion

Degree in Human Resources is an asset

_ Responsibilities _

Developing and implementing active recruitment strategies for vacant positions

Identify, screen, recruit, and interview sales talent to ensure a match of qualifications and requirements.

Create effective programs to generate a productive candidate pool.

Develop and execute a robust recruiting process to ensure top talent is attracted and retained.

Prepare offer letters, contracts, and other onboarding documentation.

Identify gaps in processes and policies and work in conjunction with upper management to address deficiencies.

Track training progress of new hires.

This is an in-office role in Barrie, Ontario
