Accounting Analyst - Term

Term - 12 months with potential to be extended or become permanent, full-time.

_ Only people who are already legally entitled to work in Canada will be considered. _

_ An LMIA is NOT available for this position. _

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for accounting, government remittances/taxes/insurance, fixed assets, monthly and yearly working paper preparation, full balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany balancing and will directly report to the Accounting Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting
Record Additions & disposals of fixed assets.
Create Depreciation GL entry monthly and reconcile.
Bank reconciliation for both CAD and USD accounts for all entities.
Intercompany entries and reconciliation for all entities
Capital & Operating Lease calculations & reconciliation.
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Prepare working papers for audit and ensure the full analysis is completed and balanced with supporting documentation.

Government Remittances, Business Tax, and Insurance
Remit GST & PST
Assist with corporate and Federal tax remittance
Understands and ensures company-wide compliance with appropriate federal, provincial, and local laws.

ASSISTS WITH AND PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR but not limited to:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Education, Skills and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Accounting experience
General working knowledge of financial statements, payables, receivables, and all basic financial reports and functions.
Experience using any accounting ERP software
Ability to work with fractions, and percentages, solve problems, and perform calculations
Advanced math skills
Ability to relate across a broad and varied customer base.
