While we continue to experience exciting growth, we have an amazing opportunity for a new Marketing Brand Manager (MBM), in a full-time capacity. The MBM will be responsible for driving growth against one of the most competitive and largest categories in Canadian retail, the Egg category and adjacencies. Success will focus on the MBM developing marketing plans, leading new product development, and partnering with internal and external partners to ensure success. Analytical skills and a bias for action will be keys to success.

Brand Manager

Term: Permanent, Day, M-F
Location: Hybrid (Remote 3-4 days a week, 1-2 office)
Reports to: VP, Consumer Marketing

Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the annual operating plan to drive margin expansion, reduce complexity while continuing to deliver topline volume.
Analyze brand performance (shipment), consumption data (Nielsen), innovation or renovation results, and taking action to make recommendations for future steps/course correction. Develop brand forecasts with cross-functional input; measure performance against benchmarks to ensure achievement of financial targets.
Manage and deliver all elements of the P&L (including volume, trade, COGS, A&P) and work to strengthen or improve results over time.
Lead the commercialization of new product innovations/renovations through Stage Gate, while developing and managing critical paths with excellence. This will require leading internal cross functional teams such as QA, R&D, Sales, Finance, and Operations, to bring new product launches to life and drive projects forward.
Understand the marketplace through analysis of syndicated data (i.e. AC Nielsen), consumer research, and market trends, uncovering relevant insights to support category management initiatives and new product launches!
Manage brand budgets and plans to ensure all marketing activities are delivered in line with project estimates and invoices are processed on time.

Qualification & Experiences:
5 years minimum experience in a CPG marketing environment, in highly competitive industries
Strong analytical thinking and financial acumen (analysis, pricing, forecasting)
Excellent project management skills, with ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver agreed upon timelines.
Experience in cross-functional team management.
Proficiency translating data and research into meaningful insights and recommendations and presenting recommendations internally.
Understanding of Financial P&L
Comfortable navigating through ambiguity while creating structure and process when needed.
Ideally some experience in commodity or protein categories.
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
Literacy in Microsoft Office and AC Nielsen.

Education/Training:
Post-secondary education with a focus on Marketing, Business or related discipline.
Literacy in Microsoft Office and AC Nielsen.
