Key Responsibilities
The packaging operator will work in a production team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of a high-speed bottling/canning line.
The production operation includes a variety of individual operator roles and technical processes throughout the production line. The process includes bottle de-palletizing, rinsing, candling, labeling, carton forming, packing using multiple different machines, sealing, pasteurization and palletizing.
Packaging Operators are expected to be multi-skilled and flexible.
Operate specified equipment according to company instructions and operating procedures.
Basic troubleshooting both manually and electronically are required while running equipment.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors both verbally and in writing.
Participate in training opportunities and cross-training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
Complete mechanical changeover of equipment.
The ability to learn and perform job functions within the bottling and canning packaging process is required. The success of the operation depends on the skills and abilities of the production team.
Physical aspects of the job with constant standing, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, etc.
Fast-paced manufacturing environment

Example schedule: 12-hour straight continental shifts either on Days (7am-7pm) or Nights (7pm-7am)

Week 1: 2 days on (Mon & Tues), 2 off (Wed & Thurs), 3 days on (Fri-Sun)

Week 2: 2 days off (Mon & Tues), 2 days on (Wed & Thurs), 3 days off (Fri-Sun)

Weekend Shift Premium of $2.00 per hour

Night Shift Premium of $4.00 per hour

Key Qualifications:
Highly motivated, conscientious, self-managed team player, with experience working in a production team environment
Reliability and positive attitude - a must
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
1 year of production experience
Working knowledge of production equipment and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Compliance with health & safety and regulatory compliance requirements
Proven Technical Competency.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in decision making
Ability to work in a fast paced setting
Must be able to stand/bend throughout the workday
Must be able to work continental shifts; which includes every other weekend.
