Solutions Designer

Job Deliverables:
The Solutions Designer will work under the direction of the Project Manager and the Senior Manager to support the architecture/implementation options of the OnSiS data collection requirements and will engage directly with managers, team leads, program analysts, business clients, and subject matter experts within the business ministry and client throughout the engagement.
The Solutions Designer will also provide subject matter expertise in designing the implementation options required by the business operation of the Dual Credit application.
Dual Credits is a web-based application used by SAD (Student Achievement Division) for data collection, management, and reporting of information in a format that can be used for analysis and reporting.
The Solutions Designer undertakes the design of hosting technology solutions based on the client's service specifications, standards, policies, best practices, and cost models, in order to meet client application business requirements and project/initiative deliverables.

Must Haves:
Extensive hands-on experience architecting and designing solutions deployed under the Azure cloud platform
Strong experience in integrating Azure Single sign-on (SSO) with Business-to-business (B2B) identity providers
Strong experience in designing, building, and provisioning services via Azure CLI as App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Secure Vault
Experience implementing enterprise best practices to integrate various services under the Azure Cloud platform, expert in Azure Active Directory and Application Security in Azure, setting Azure API Management policies
Leading a team of developers for cloud technologies projects to define and implement standards and strategies based on priorities

Evaluation Criteria
Technical Experience - 65%
Experience building and deploying high-traffic, high-volume, secure, publicly facing applications
10+ years experience designing a mix of system architectures for in-house custom solutions/COTS/Cloud-based solution
Extensive hands-on experience architecting and designing solutions deployed under the Azure cloud platform
Strong experience in integrating Azure Single sign-on (SSO) with Business-to-business (B2B) identity providers
Experience implementing enterprise best practices to integrate various services under the Azure Cloud platform, expert in Azure Active Directory and Application Security in Azure, setting Azure API Management policies
Strong experience in designing, building, and provisioning services via Azure CLI as App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Secure Vault
Knowledge and experience with technologies including .NET framework (4.0+), ASP.NET,.Net Core, MVC, Entity framework, Bootstrap, Oracle DB, SQL Server, AngularJS, Angular 6-11, Web Workers, Angular Universal, Electron, Angular Material
Extensive skills in relational database data modeling and data querying
Proven experience in web API development using .NET 7+, MVC, SQLKata, and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
Experience implementing enterprise best practices to integrate various services under the Azure Cloud platform, an expert in Azure Active Directory and Application Security in Azure, setting, configuring, and managing Azure Virtual Machines
Experience in deploying and managing Azure resources in scripting languages such as Bicep, PowerShell, or Azure CLI for Infrastructure as Code (Iac)
Experience in distributed session management and integrating with Redis
Strong understanding of on-premise data center infrastructure and migration challenges
Knowledge and experience in integration with Microsoft Office 365 services such as Sharepoint Online or OneDrive
Knowledge of advanced analytic solutions such as Google Tag Manager
Experience designing solutions involving technologies such as .NET, SOA, REST, node.js, Typescript, Java, Oracle DBMS, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, PKI, Auth0, and data encryption.
Experience working with Cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, and Application Security in Azure
Experience with Azure deployment templates and parameter files
Experience in building and provisioning services via Azure CLI as App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Secure Vault
Experience in UI/UX best practices and design patterns in particular Google's Material Design
Hands-on Linux experience with command line, shell scripting, and administration
Experience designing, building securing, and consuming REST API solutions-based architectures
Experience with web proxies, caching configuration, rewriting and redirect routines on major servers like IIS and Apache
Strong experience with Authentication and Authorization systems, SSO, SAML, JWT, OAuth;

Leading an Agile team of developers for cloud technologies projects to define and implement standards and strategies based on priorities

Experience in working with various teams toward achieving the best user experience (UX)

Demonstrates experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences, communicating advantages and disadvantages of various technical options, and providing effective guidance in clear, non-technical terms
Demonstrates experience communicating day-to-day tasks and issue tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks for all project activities
Demonstrates experience gathering and consolidating input into changes required to business and/or system requirements, change requests, and project artifacts, as well as leading requirement-gathering sessions
Proven ability to lead business users to the successful completion of an assignment of this nature, magnitude, and complexity, and demonstrated ability to help them achieve the desired business benefits on schedule and within budget
Experience working in programs consisting of multiple highly interdependent projects.
Public Sector Experience - 5%
Experience within the public sector, particularly with Ontario Education systems
