Transportation Accounting Co-op/Intern Student
Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the accounting student role will report to the Manager, Transportation Finance. The successful candidate will be a member of the team assisting with Transportation Accounting functions.
Start Date: September 3, 2024, for 8 months with opportunity to extend.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Preparing account reconciliations
• Assisting with clearing costs in our financial system (SAP)
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide support in pulling evidence for ongoing audits
• Assist in creating billing invoices to be sent to customers
• Assisting with reporting tasks and KPI creation
• Other projects as assigned
Education, Skills, and Experience
Post-secondary student who has completed their 2nd or 3rd year in university or college from a Business, Finance or Accounting program
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, communication and organizational skills
• Well-developed interpersonal, team, and customer service communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite computer skills
• Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline oriented, growth environment
Additional Nice to haves or Preferred items:
• Previous office experience
• Experience with SAP - FI and MM modules (S4/Hana preferred)
• Power BI knowledge
Hours
Full time: Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week, on site.
