Working with a team of over 250 Full-time employees, top contractors, and professionals, we have built more than 8,000 Tarion-certified homes, 4,000 condominiums, and several retirement homes totaling 500 suites. They are currently seeking a Manager, Property Management Division, who will oversee the operations of the residential and commercial real estate facilities on the company's behalf.

As the Director of Property Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of residential and commercial real estate facilities. You will implement, monitor, and supervise all programs, contracts, contracted services, and staff related to the rental property. You will lead site staff to ensure best practices are being followed, ensuring high occupancy. You will be accountable for maximizing revenues, minimizing operating expenses, and adhering to the annual budget while following all departmental policies and procedures. Our client is in major growth mode. As a result, the property management will triple in size within the next few years. The opportunity to grow and impact your department is in front of you. Additional responsibilities would include:

Managing escalated tenant issues and concerns
Work with Property Managers and Maintenance team to address site problems
Support Senior Maintenance Technician for service contract and preventative maintenance
File eviction notices with the Landlord Tenant Board as well as attend hearings when required
Visit sites regularly to mentor Property Managers and monitor property upkeep
Collaborate with the property accounting for budget management

The Ideal Candidate will ideally have post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of five years of related experience. They will require knowledge of best practices related to leases and service contracts with an in-depth understanding of The Residential Tenancies Act. The candidate will have demonstrated experience with Landlord and Tenant Board and property management knowledge, including building operations, customer service, occupational health and safety, and environmental compliance. You will bring your extensive experience within the industry and look to leverage your strong management skills to a new opportunity. Ideally, you are someone who loves working in this space but looking to propel your career to the next level of people management and maintain a pulse in site management.
