Description

Located out of our Calgary office, the Analyst, Land Projects will report to the Team Lead, Land Projects for our Transportation business unit. The successful candidate for the position will be responsible for providing land administrative support necessary to third-party crossing compliance, new projects and the ongoing integrity, maintenance, and operation of Inter Pipeline's assets in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain project land administration processes and protocols to ensure land requirements are being managed to meet project timelines & compliance with corporate policy and applicable provincial regulations
• Interface and establish positive working relations with regulatory, environment & other key project stakeholders to advance the capacity and support available for projects in the Land Projects team
• Receive, review and process third party agreements; includes updating IPL's land database, files and filing systems
• Prepare third party requests, notifications, and other documents necessary and/or convenient to the acquisition of land and/or land rights and access
• Search freehold and Crown titles, conduct corporate searches (Alberta and Saskatchewan)
• Provide general land administration, compliance, and field agent support (research, documentation, filing - to name a few)
• Receive and process payments for acquisitions, damage payments, and temporary working space
• Provide support to the auditing of project land packages received from Land Brokers ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness
• Prepare and submit caveats, registrations, and transfers of interest and withdrawals to the appropriate provincial land titles office
• Provide support to the annual landowner mail out and pipeline awareness and damage prevention programs
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and practices for safe work, environmental performance/compliance, stakeholder relations, and a respectful workplace

Education, Skills & Experience

• Petroleum Land Administration Diploma/ Certificate or equivalent
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a Commissioner For Oaths Appointment in Alberta
• 5+ years of experience in petroleum land administration. Previous pipeline industry experience considered an asset
• Experience with freehold and Crown land title searches in Alberta and Saskatchewan
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel, SPIN2, LandWorks and GIS
• A strong working knowledge of survey drawings and land agreements experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail

Hours:
Full time, Monday to Friday

Working Conditions
The position will be in our corporate head office in the heart of downtown Calgary, close to the business core and natural attractions of Prince's Island Park and the Bow River Pathway System. Our space offers employees a great work environment which promotes physical and mental wellness. Primarily, work will be completed in a dedicated cubicle and shared meeting rooms

As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment criminal background check with satisfactory results.
