Controller/Senior Bookkeeper

In office role Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm.
Manufacturing/Industrial Environment
This role would be suitable for a Controller from a small business or a Senior Bookkeeper who has handled some Controller functions.
Responsibilities
Full cycle accounting; A/R, A/P, Collections, Invoicing, Bank Reconciliations, Depositing Cheques and General Ledger
Monthly P & L and revenue reporting on costs and expenses incurred
Year-end preparation
WSIB, HST and Government Remittances
Ensuring all installer and contractors are eligible for WSIB and deduct payments as required
Weekly and bi-weekly payroll, including commission calculations and issuing of T4's and ROE;s
Handle lease/rent payments and manage sub lease tenants and communications with landlord
Prepare and submit weekly reports to Owner
Research, review and pursue any eligible Grant programs
Maintain records on contra deals and referral fees
Work with Purchasing on pricing and contracts
Prepare new hire/job offer contracts
Other special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Post secondary education in Accounting or Finance
Min of 5 years experience in Controller or Senior level role
Manufacturing industry experience is required
Computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and AccountingEdge Pro
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong communication skills

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
