Senior Back End Developer

Overview:
This ministry initiative aims to deliver a large Java/JEE web enterprise solution to implement changes to the Electronic Death Registration system, the Marriage Licence system, as well as other Vital Events subsystems. The solution will consist of analysis, design, development and data/document migration of an existing legacy solution to a new solution to be implemented with newer technologies and frameworks such as Angular, CSS, HTML5, Java/JEE, as well as integration with multiple existing solution such as OpenText DMS and other internal systems. Additional FFS resources are required in order to meet Business timelines. The resource may be asked to work on other Vital Events work as needed.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems that arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.

Must Haves:
10+ years of demonstrated experience with the use of Java language
Angular JS v2+ - 5+
