Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Centralized Resources (Float), the successful applicant will float between Brantford General Hospital departments and The Willett Hospital (Paris).

The Weekend Worker is scheduled for two 12 hour shifts and one 8 hour shift over the weekend period (i.e. Friday Saturday Sunday OR Saturday Sunday Monday). The Weekend Worker is paid for a full work week.

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Mandatory Qualifications

Effective September 7th, 2021, all applicants must provide proof of two doses for full vaccination against Covid-19 (in the form of watermark receipts from the provincial portal) or provide written proof of a medical or religious reason for not being fully vaccinated as per Organization Policy, Covid-19 Immunization and Management.

Preferred Competencies

Recent Medical or Surgical nursing experience
Recent Complex Care or Emergency experience
Demonstrated competence in patient assessment and care planning
Member of RPNAO
Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
