Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks as needed.
Mask or cover areas not to be painted to protect surrounding surfaces from paint splatter.
Paint Application
Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Ensure even application and proper coverage to achieve desired finish.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve specified hues and shades.
Finish Work
Perform touch-ups and corrections to ensure a flawless finish.
Apply decorative finishes such as faux finishes, texture, or stenciling as required.
Install wallpaper or wall coverings as needed.
Quality Control
Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.
Address any issues or concerns with the finish and make necessary adjustments.
Safety and Compliance
Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with all relevant regulations and standards for painting and construction work.
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain and clean painting equipment, tools, and work areas.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a painter, preferably in commercial or residential settings.
Proficiency in various painting techniques and methods.
Strong knowledge of paint types, finishes, and color mixing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time.
Attention to detail and ability to achieve a high-quality finish.
Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and lifting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
