Training Content Specialist for provincial government agency client, Etobicoke facility.

Marberg Job Number: 2265.
Job Type: Temporary.
Initial Term: May 20, 2024 to November 22, 2024.
Compensation: $52.24 per hour.
Regular Work Hours: 7.25 hours per day not including 1 hour unpaid lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location: Hybrid, with combination of 1-2 days remote-based from home and 3-4 days onsite at client's Etobicoke office, accessible by bus and with free parking provided. Onsite requirements subject to business requirements and work volume.
Position Reports To: Manager, Learning and Development.

Responsibilities Summary:
Lead design and development of blended learning solutions for both live and virtual training programs, as well as design and development of learner supports such as user guides, job aids, and communities of practice. Provide training programs with technical expertise and advisory services, in order to improve operational efficiencies, develop skills, and enhance competencies.
Lead design and development of technical and soft skills training programs, including determining instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences or workshops. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training programs from existing processes.
Produce visually appealing content adhering to corporate visual branding guidelines, and employ diverse media, including graphics, videos, audio, photorealistic imagery editing, and animations, to generate compelling content.
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop teaching aids and training materials such as handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and simulations.
Additional training content development and advisory services required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary or Post Graduate level education in Adult Learning, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 2+ years of demonstrated successful work experience in a similar role.
Preferred Sector Experience: Experience from a technical or maintenance training environment preferred.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
Expert level proficiency in MSOffice, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (will be tested).
Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro (will be tested).
Superior attention to detail, copy writing, proofreading, and editing skills (will be tested).
Expert level written English including advanced level business and technical writing skills, and excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax (will be tested)
Polished, professional verbal presentation skills suitable for a diverse range of audiences.

In-depth knowledge of various training methods including game-based training, simulations, and role-modeling.
Demonstrated record of professional conduct and character. Responsible, reliable and works to deadlines, with proven ability to work remotely.

Proven ability to professionally handle confidential information and exercise good judgement in the interpretation and application of instructions and organization policy.
Superior attention to detail, and organized, methodical approach to completion of tasks.
Demonstrated ability to apply project management principles, methodologies and best practices.
Strong relationship management skills including client and vendor relations management, business networking, negotiation, change management and consulting/advisory skills.

Additional Requirements:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
