Note: We are currently looking for candidates located in Metro Vancouver who have BC insurance licenses for immediate job opportunities. The Opportunity:
Collaborate with our commercial team to plan, develop, and market new and renewed business for our clients as a Commercial Insurance Advisor. We seek a Regular Full-Time team member with a solid grasp of the insurance industry and the ability to foster positive working relationships. Join us at our Brunette Office - 552 Clarke Rd , Coquitlam, BC V3J 3X5.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare RFQs, proposals, and binders for submission
- Understand client needs thoroughly; maintain strong connections with underwriters, business development managers, producers, and account managers
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of insurer products and target sectors to provide optimal coverage solutions
- Analyze client coverage requirements, exposures, and loss history; offer specific risk management recommendations
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service, addressing queries on insurance availability and coverage eligibility
- Enhance technical and market expertise through ongoing training and networking
- Uphold a strong work ethic and a commitment to success daily
- Represent AMC Insurance professionally in the market and foster relationships with insurers
Education and Skills required:
- Level 2 BC General Insurance license
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial insurance
- Proficient in interpreting insurance policies and possessing strong technical knowledge
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in Word & Excel
Preferred Assets:
- Pursuing or holding CAIB certifications
- Strong questioning and presentation skills, risk assessment enjoyment, and adept negotiation abilities
