Job Title: Slinger Truck Operator

Job Overview:
As a Slinger Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a slinger truck to transport and distribute materials such as aggregates, gravel, sand, or construction debris at construction sites or other designated locations. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Salary: $28 Per Hour
Location: Rocky View, AB
Hours: 7am - 4/5 PM (OT IF NEEDED)

Responsibilities:
Operate and maneuver the slinger truck to load, transport, and unload materials as per job requirements.
Safely secure materials on the truck bed using appropriate restraints and tie-downs to prevent shifting during transit.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of materials loaded onto the truck, ensuring compliance with delivery instructions.
Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules and job requirements.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the slinger truck to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Follow established traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads and construction sites.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and bed, including removal of debris and waste materials.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, or damage to property.
Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Assist with other duties on the job site as needed, including manual labor and equipment operation.
Requirements:
MUST HAVE CLASS 3 LICENSE WITH AIR BRAKES
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy vehicles.
Proven experience operating a slinger truck or similar heavy equipment in a construction or material handling environment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to operating heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions, maps, and job site plans.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a focus on maintaining accuracy and efficiency in job tasks.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or training in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution.
Prior experience in the construction or building materials industry.
Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments on equipment.
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices.
